Firefox Joins Chrome, Edge, and Opera for Browser-Based Cloud Gaming
Firefox now supports GeForce NOW on Windows, joining Chrome, Edge, and Opera as browsers capable of streaming the service without an installed client. Members can head to play.geforcenow.com after downloading the latest version of Firefox and start playing immediately — no game installs, no updates, and no local storage used, since the cloud handles the processing.
Up to 1440p and 120 FPS for Ultimate Members, Straight From the Browser
The browser-based experience delivers GeForce RTX-powered performance at up to 1440p resolution and 120 frames per second for GeForce NOW Ultimate subscribers, matching the performance tier previously reserved for the dedicated app on supported devices — now accessible on a school laptop or any everyday PC running Firefox.
Gallipoli Leads the Lineup: 25v25 Battles With 50+ Weapons and 10 Classes
The headline new release this week is Gallipoli, the latest entry in BlackMill Games’ WW1 Game Series, which launched on Steam on August 20. The game puts players into 25v25 objective-based battles as soldiers of the British and Ottoman Empires, fighting across coastal shores, deserts, and urban battlefields. It features 10 historical classes — including Officer, Heavy Machine Gunner, Sniper, and Stretcher Bearer — and more than 50 authentic weapons and equipment options, built around grounded, one-shot-one-kill combat that NVIDIA describes as requiring genuine teamwork.
12 Games Streaming to the Cloud This Week
Beyond Gallipoli, GeForce NOW is adding 11 more titles to its library this week: Stars Reach and The Sinking City 2 (both released on Steam August 18), DIVE or DIE – Children of Rain, Escape the Backroom and Hell Is Us (both on Xbox Game Pass), High on Life, High on Life 2 (Steam and Xbox Game Pass), Parcel Simulator, Starvester, The Thaumaturge (Xbox Game Pass), and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered (Epic Games Store). NVIDIA notes that GeForce NOW availability can vary from a title’s store release date, since games are onboarded and added throughout the week.
How to Try It: Day Pass Option Available
New members can try GeForce NOW on Firefox starting with a day pass; if they later upgrade to a Performance or Ultimate membership, the cost of the day pass can be applied toward that first membership purchase.
