So, this is my last post about Gujarat before I pack my bags and head to the next stop on this journey. And honestly? I didn’t think I’d get this attached.

I came here thinking it would be a quick trip — eat some dhokla, maybe spot a lion, move on. But Gujarat had other plans. I found myself sipping chaas under the summer sun, getting way too excited over spotting baby crocodiles, and weirdly impressed that Jio worked better in the middle of nowhere.

What started as just another destination turned into a full experience — one that surprised me, grounded me, and left me with stories I didn’t expect to tell.

Before I move on, here’s a quick look at everything I loved — and everything that makes Gujarat worth visiting (or even doing business in).

Travel Highlights: My Personal Take on Gujarat

What really stood out to me in Gujarat wasn’t just the sights — it was the feeling of being welcomed. Here’s what made this trip unforgettable:

Sing Soda — Trust Me, Try It

It’s a local favorite. I was skeptical of peanut soda (still am!), but it’s surprisingly refreshing. These small-town sodas are part of the charm — quirky, flavorful, and totally Gujarati.

The People

Everywhere I went, people greeted me with warmth and curiosity. That kind of genuine hospitality stays with you.

The Food (Oh man, the food)

I love Gujarati food! Yes, I had my fair share of jalebi and dhokla, but also spicy theplas, tangy chutneys, and crunchy khakras that kept surprising me. Gujarati cuisine is way more diverse than people give it credit for.

Jio Works Like a Charm

I was honestly impressed by how well Jio worked — even in remote spots. Reliable connectivity made the journey a lot smoother.

Kesar Aam & Chaas — Summer Lifesavers

It gets hot, no doubt. But there’s nothing like biting into a cold, juicy Kesar mango (aam ras) or sipping on chilled chaas to reset your soul. It’s the true taste of summer here.

Wildlife Surprises

On the way to Gir, I casually saw a few baby crocodiles. And a hyena! Totally unexpected — and very cool. Of course, I went hoping to see lions… didn’t spot one, but you might!

Balaji Wafers — Snack Staple

If you know, you know. And if you don’t — grab a packet of Balaji wafers (especially the masala chips). It’s basically Gujarat in a bag. Read the detailed article here https://trendingon1.com/2025/04/09/balaji-wafers-how-a-₹5500-crore-snack-brand-beat-global-giants/
